National Pictures approached Pathom with a need - they had 200,000 press photos, and needed a way to put them online. They also wanted to add many new photos daily, and wanted them to be searchable, well indexed, and properly protected.
We provided a front-ended intranet solution that allows the client to simply take photos and send them into the system. The system reads the photos and the description embedded by the photographer, and automatically categorises and indexes each photo, saving the client any administrative work. Registered users can browse and download photos (chargeable), and until they pay for an image, it is automatically watermarked.
This project not only included the consultancy and website design, but also the server purchase, setup and hosting.
