Pathom originally designed and built London South East as an internal project named Life Style Extra, but as the Finance information became more popular, London South East Ltd was created and now owns the lse.co.uk website.
It attracts thousands of visitors every day, and generates income through a variety of advertising techniques.
London South East is rich in dynamic content - it includes a number of finance news feeds, a dynamic charting system, and a share price feed.
It also includes a chat system for registered users, a mobile SMS (short message service) push system, portfolio and watchlist management features, and a smart news indexing service.
